[[File:Shani Evenstein Sigalov - updated.jpg|200px|thumb|right]] Hello everyone,
My name is Dr. Shani Evenstein Sigalov. I am an educator, lecturer, researcher and Open Knowledge advocate, interested in the intersection between Education, Technology, Innovation and Openness.
My PhD research explored the Semantic Web as a learning platform, focusing on Wikidata as a case study. In my postdoc research projects I have been exploring the following topics:
- The relationships between Linked Open Data and Digital Humanities, mainly by consulting and supporting the creation of this Wikibase as a proof-of-concept for supporting academic staff databases at TAU
- Generative AI and its impact on knowledge consumption and creation processes
- Self-Regulated Learning
- Critical Ignoring.
I serve as a member of the Board of Trustees, Wikimedia Foundation (the non-profit that runs Wikipedia and its sister projects globally), co-lead Project Ben-Yehuda, and a Board Member at the Public Knowledge Workshop (Hasadna).
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions about this Wikibase and supporting academic staff using Wikibases.
